India Going Digital - Future Of Schooling

Teaching standards in India has been changing dramatically towards advanced technology i.e. digital education .The epoch when teachers used to up skill children through conventional chalkboard method are obsolete. Now learning through laptops , smart boards has taken over. By this method, they now know everything latest about their subjects. This trend is picking up quit fast in Indian schools/colleges. Under Central Governments directive, many state governments have implemented this scheme. In some states free/concessional laptops/i-pod have been issued to students. But the main question that arises in many minds is whether digital learning is a headway or intrusion for students?

Whether It’s a college or school, smart boards usage is on the peak. This digital technology is benefit to a great extent for the students as students education gets tuned to International standards & they become globally competitive.  The future of India would unquestionably be on the blazing side if this technology gets fully extended to schools/colleges located in rural areas too even though some progress has been made in that direction.

During digital learning, there is complete interactive participation of students resulting in full concentration, which is not found in conventional blackboard teaching. When discussions are going on during digital learning, everyone tries to participate at their best . There is a synchronization level in their learning. Digital learning gives substitute methods for expression of speech. 15 minutes of digital learning/deliberation means 15 minutes of oral active participation.

Digital learning helps students a lot in acknowledging the latest technology prevailing worldwide.  As foreign countries are very well adapted to this technology, our students having fully adapted to this method of learning would not find themselves out of place & would easily be adjusted to advanced learning courses in those countries.
